hey guys!! man is this week a crazy one - i'm working a total of three shifts, i have a track meet on thursday, plans to see the hunger games on friday (WOOHOO!!), and my #1 college comes out with their decisions on friday (eek!!). i hope all of your weeks are going well!
anyway, sunday i actually managed to capture photos of all my meals of the day so i figured i'd make that my WIAW post! as always, thanks to jenn for hosting :)
breakfast was a big yogurt and cereal bowl (finally got my hands on some more puffed millet!)
in the bowl:
- 1/2 container 2% mango chobani
- 1/2 container plain yogurt
- chopped apple
- 2 tbsp PB2 mixed with almond milk
- 1 cup puffed millet
- 1/4 cup nature's path crunchy maple sunrise
my midmorning snack that i ate while studying for my econ test was carrots & TJ's white bean and basil hummus.
I got up to get my snack and someone decided that the blanket that I'd been using was a good place for a nap!
Lunch was definitely an awesome one. I was in the mood for a big sandwich and we had fresh avocado on hand, so I made a turkey, laughing cow, and avocado panini on nutty grain bread.
in the afternoon before my shift at work i had an iced coffee (unpictured) and tried out a new-to-me flavor of clif kid's zbar. i used to eat chocolate zbars all the time a few years ago but only recently realized that they have lots more flavors.
it was super soft and chewy and tasted just like an oatmeal cookie! i actually just bought an entire box of them the other day because i liked it so much.
i packed up dinner to take with me to eat at work on my break (since going 5+ hours without food is so not happening!)
a big salad with romaine, mushrooms, carrots, feta, and deli turkey (later i topped it with sesame ginger dressing). i also packed some of my favorite dark chocolate sea salt almonds from TJs to nibble on.
and for dessert i made myself a cup of tart frozen yogurt with almonds, granola, graham cracker, strawberries, and a few pretzel m&ms. i always end up eating the fruit off the top first and then eating the yogurt separate!
did you read the hunger games? are you planning on seeing the movie?
favorite fro-yo toppings? if i'm going the chocolate route, my favorite toppings are reeses, cookie dough, heath bar, and pretzel m&ms (sugar coma, haha!). usually i just stick with tart yogurt with fruit and granola/nut toppings, though!
I LOVE Zbars!!! And the kitty is so cute :)
ReplyDeleteOF COURSE I am going to see the hunger games this weekend...wouldn't miss it for the world!
Best of luck to you this week :)
OBSESSED WITH THE HUNGER GAMES!! So addicting. I'm actually going to the midnight show! Wahooooo! I've never tried adding apple to my yogurt...I think I will though! Your lunch also looks delicious, and your dessert! Graham crackers? Brilliant :)
ReplyDeletethat is the cutest little hummus container of my life. need one.
ReplyDeleteI'm with you- I will either do a plain kind with fruit or just eat the yogurt plain. Some flavors are too good to top with anything! (like this lemon flavor from U-Swirl that I LOVE right now)
ReplyDeleteI'm definitely going to see The Hunger Games ... I can't wait!! And that sandwich looks delicious ... I saw the pic on Jenn's blog and had to come check it out haha! ;)
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, that panini! Looks amazing. I haven't read the hunger games yet but I just bought it!
ReplyDeleteI'd have to agree with you, that your sandwich looks AWESOME! That's a great combo and your toast marks are perfect! ;)
ReplyDeleteThat sandwich looks DELICIOUS! My favorite froyo toppings are cookie dough balls, twix, and pretty much any chocolate candy!
ReplyDeleteMmmm your eats look sooo delicious as always!
ReplyDeleteGood luck tomorrow! Whatever happens, you're awesome.
ReplyDeleteAnd your eats look delicious. Just btw. :P
