Grandma's Macaroni and Cheese

hello my lovelies!! the past few days have been hectic craziness. today i got to hang out with all my freshmen at orientation and had a blast!! i think i might be losing my voice from all the screaming and cheering, though :) school starts on wednesday and i can't believe it's this close!!! my blogging frequency definitely will decrease because i'm going to be cah-razy busy but i love blogging too much to stay away for too long.  i also have a super exciting appointment tomorrow that i can't wait to tell you all about. other than that, the past few days my eats have been the same old same old so I figured it would be better to give you all the recipe i promised! enjoy!

Grandma's Macaroni and Cheese
This dish is the most comforting dish I know how to make. Old school classic mac n cheese that is super creamy and cheesy. Enjoy!
Serves 8-10 people

You will need:

  • 1 pound macaroni noodles
  • 1 12-oz can fat free evaporated milk + 1/3 cup water
  • 1 Tbsp mustard (optional)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 3 cups freshly grated cheddar cheese
Directions:
  1. Cook pasta according to directions on package and drain. Return to pot.
  2. Add milk, water, mustard, salt, and pepper to pasta and stir.
  3. Over low heat, stir in cheese until melted. Let pasta mixture simmer until the sauce is thickened.
  4. Serve!
Best. Mac n cheese. EVER!

Enjoy!
